Why burn waste oil when I can get paid for it!

In the past, people had to pay for waste oil disposal in almost every scenario. Today, times have changed and many people see a great value in that used / waste oil, so companies are now ‘getting paid’ for it. The reason we are still in business is because the ‘value’ of that used oil increases 3-4 times what you would be getting ‘paid’ when it’s burned in a Lanair heater.

Lets say you get paid 1 dollar per gallon for waste oil.

When burned inside a waste oil heater, that value goes up to whatever the value of regular ‘fuel-oil’ would be. The BTU ratio of burning “fuel-oil” compared to “waste-oil” is 1:1, so you are still getting the ‘full value’ of that oil when you burn it.

Lets look at that again, if you were to “pay” for 500 gallons of fuel-oil at 4 dollars per gallon, that would be roughly 2000 dollars. If you already generate 500 gallons of waste-oil, its ‘worth’ 2000 dollars to you if you burn it. However, if you choose to simply sell the used oil, it will only be worth 500 dollars, and you’ll still be paying for a heating solution on top of that.

The value of your waste oil is obvious. Keep in mind, if you only use say, 400 gallons of waste oil, there is nothing stopping you from continuing to sell that ‘additional’ 100 gallons of waste oil, the options to sell or burn are not entirely mutually exclusive.

What is the best heater package for me?

There are several factors that determine the ‘ideal’ heater solution for your building.

Some of the core questions you should ask before buying a Lanair Waste Oil Heater are:

1. What is the size of the building?
2. How well is it insulated?
3. How much oil do you have access to?
4. Do I want a roof or wall chimney?

Refer to specifications on our product pages and try to get an idea of what package would best suit you, or call our in-house staff and let them help you find the right heater for your needs.

How soon will I recover my heater cost?

Return On Investment varies by location, used oil supply, and amount of regular use.

Typically, you will gain a full return on your used oil heater in 1-2 years, but for someone paying disposal fees a full return can be considerably sooner than that.

Waste Oil Heater vs Oil Heater Price?

The technology required to burn waste oil is more expensive than fuel oil as it requires an extra set of parts & steps over traditional oil burning furnaces.

The extra price is easily rationalized when you look at the direct benefits of burning waste oil.

This unique form of heating can literally end up paying you back the cost of the entire unit if used regularly.

How much will my installation cost?

We can lower your costs by selling you a complete Heater / Chimney and Tank package. We call these our Lanair “Value Packages”.

Average cost is $1,000 to $1,500 less with our packages (tank and chimney).

Costs vary by your building, HVAC charges in your area and tank regulations. If you install it yourself, there will be even more savings.

In general, our Value Packages are a very cost effective, simple installation choice.
