Many people find them selves asking "Why should I burn waste oil when I can get paid for it?". In the past, people had to pay for waste oil disposal in almost ever scenario. Today, times have changed and many people see a great value in that used / waste oil, so companies are now 'getting paid' for it. The reason we are still in business is because the 'value' of that used oil increases 3-4 times what you would be getting 'paid' when it's burned in a Lanair heater.
Lets say you get paid 1 dollar per gallon for waste oil. When burned inside a waste oil heater, that value goes up to whatever the value of regular 'fuel-oil' would be. The BTU ratio of burning "fuel-oil" compared to "waste-oil" is 1:1, so you are still getting the 'full value' of that oil when you burn it.
Lets look at that again, if you were to "pay" for 500 gallons of fuel-oil at 4 dollars per gallon, that would be roughly 2000 dollars. If you already generate 500 gallons of waste-oil, its 'worth' 2000 dollars to you if you burn it. However, if you choose to simply sell the used oil, it will only be worth 500 dollars, and you'll still be paying for a heating solution on top of that.
When you break everything down, the value of your waste oil becomes obvious. Keep in mind, if you only use say, 400 gallons of waste oil, there is nothing stopping you from continuing to sell that 'additional' 100 gallons of waste oil, the options to sell or burn are not entirely mutually exclusive.
Long term benefits
Savings begin immediately with a Lanair Waste Oil Heater, but the long-term benefits are what make the Investment worthwhile. Imagine not paying for heat or worrying about disposal for 10 years in a row! It's well known that a Lanair can pay for itself within the first couple years of use, but looking at the bigger picture... if you properly maintain your Lanair Waste Oil Heater it can last you well over 10 years, acting as an actual 'cash generator' for your business! If you care for your heater, it will not only pay for itself while heating your business, but also put enough money in your pocket to buy 3-4 more at the end of the heaters life!
